The Cat's Maw is the first book in The Shadowland Saga: a young-adult fantasy novel accompanied by an enhanced audiobook performed by SOVA Award winner David Kaye.

Recognition
The book won Best YA Mystery at the Gelett Burgess Children's Book Awards and a silver medal for pre-teen fiction at the Moonbeam Children's Book Awards. It was also named a VOYA Magazine Top Shelf honoree.
